WHO WE ARE is an upcoming short documentary exploring the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) in Southern Africa. A collaboration between Irish photographer and filmmaker Aidan O’Neill and British creative director Samuel John Weeks, the film will shine a light on the reality of living in a country where homosexuality is illegal. In partnership with two Eswatini-based organisations, ESGM (Eswatini Sexual and Gender Minorities) and Rock of Hope, the team aim to sympathetically represent the diverse experiences of oppression and discrimination that Eswatini’s LGBTQ+ community face.
